I still believe more have more have to grow a set in this country (and this site). What is right is right and wrong is wrong. Can there be that much confusion?? People are free to do as they please in this country. But that doesn't mean they have to be applauded and given participation awards or trophies for their actions. I read before A&E tried to get Phil to stop saying the prayer at the end of each episode and he stood firm and said he'd quit the show before doing that. Well I highly doubt his family is going to continue on without the man that laid the blanket down. Crazy stuff though. A man dedicates his life to following and preaching the bible. He quotes the bible and then is called a "liar" and is told he "knows nothing about Louisianans"...come on now. I can't wait to see how all this pans out. How many zillions of shirts, hats, mugs, etc have been sold with their face on it....and now you'll be considered a gay basher if you are wearing one. Interesting stuff to come no doubt!! If you dont agree with homosexuality then you are wrong. Its perfectly fine though for them to cram it down our throats, but god forbid you dont take it. Especially that dirty dad and uncle of theirs.I like the show and think it has great values and provides good family entertainment but I have a hard time celebrating people that don't wash their donut on a daily basis. I also wouldn't be surprised that this was not a calculated move to open doors for a spin off or to get out of contract with A&E to make more money on another network. My eyes tell me they need to bathe. Have you seen these guys? Everyone of them look like they haven't seen a bar of soap in months. And yes phil did mention in one of the episodes that he doesn't bathe for long periods of time. I have no problems with beards I happen to be a pretty big ZZ Top fan.
