longbowpilot Report post Posted December 19, 2013 What happened to the first amendment in this country? I don't think he should've been suspended for his anti-gay comments, people are free to speak their mind, everyone is so sensitive these days its exhausting. I agree he could've been a little more tactful about communicating his views but still, come on people. The bloodsuckers on msnbc have said far worse things about conservatives throughout the years and nothing happens to them.

DesertBull Report post Posted December 19, 2013 It is not really a first amendment issue but it is a ridiculous decision. If you read his remarks he said nothing against gays.
DesertBull Report post Posted December 19, 2013 />ignorant thing to say and think he should be fined , fired, and do community service, and be forced to give to charity. his backwards thoughts are in the miniscual minority and i hope my radio doesnt speak of him ever again, didnt know who he was until this morning and will be forgetting him after hitting send If your boss hated hunting and fired you for it woukd you be singing the same tune? I dont think you even read the exact quotes of what he said.
WHT_MTNMAN Report post Posted December 19, 2013 I personally believe he should have used more tact, but in the end he has the right to believe and say what he feels is right. In the same context so does A&E.. it is A&Es loss not Phil's though IMO. He also made the point that heterosexual couples shouldn't sleep around also is a sin just like homosexuality in his opinion. Doesn't mean he hates the sinner....
stanley Report post Posted December 19, 2013 It is not really a first amendment issue but it is a ridiculous decision. If you read his remarks he said nothing against gays. BINGO! Has absolutely nothing to do with free speech. Longbowpilot; He is free to speak his words and apparently according to any contract he had with A&E, they are free to do what they want. What-ever. Just another bunch of goofy TV 'stars'....... Who cares???? S.

PackerMenges Report post Posted December 19, 2013 A&E has been wanting to put a muzzle on him for awhile now. I have zero problems with what he said, this country needs to grow up and let folks have their opinion. It is refreshing to have a man with some gumption speak up. It is ultimately A&E's loss more than his. I stand with Phil.

If the people want to make them pay for that decision by boycotting and hitting them in the wallets, then that's our right too.

DesertBull Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Liberals motto-We should all be tolerent of others beliefs. Unless they dont agree with me then they should keep their mouth shut. MSNBC had a guy say that someone should sh*t in Sarah Palins mouth and was not fired. He quit after public outrage.

GodIsGood Report post Posted December 19, 2013 I havent heard the exact language he used, but he is a calm, sensitive and God-fearing man without a hateful bone in his bod... No matter how he worded his opinion - he was gonna be attacked! Matt 24:9 I would be surprised and disappointed if the rest of the cast/family doesnt find a family-friendly way to tell A&E to kiss their butts! They certainly dont rely on the series revenue to enjoy life.
