I recently knocked a hole in my Tundras oil pan while elk hunting north of Flagstaff. When I got back to camp I saw a leak but after looking at I thought it was the front differential. I ended up driving back to Mesa on basically a little over 1 quart of oil unknowingly. Engine light never came on. Only noticed it because we stopped and when I restarted I heard the lifters pinging. Checked the oil and nothing on the dip stick.

 

New oil pan and mechanic said no damage. Bullet proof
