Pine Donkey Report post Posted December 2, 2013 I was fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving weekend in elk camp with my son Garrett and several friends. There were 5 tags in camp and they killed 4 bulls on Friday morning. Garrett has been scouting the area hard for some time now. He had several bulls on his hit list. All the hunters left camp on foot at 4:30 Friday morning and hiked into the "spot". The rest of us set up glass high above to watch the show. Garrett spotted his bull early and waited for shooting light. Two shots later and his elk was down. This was a great hunt with a great bunch of friends.
