joeinaz0 Report post Posted November 30, 2013 Hello all. Hope a forum member could shed some light on this topic for me. I have a Vortex High Country tripod. It came with a ball head but I would rather use a pan head. I just purchased a Slik 707e pan/tilt pan head to replace the ball head. My issue is the once I removed the ball head, the thread size is too big for the Slik tripod head. Anybody know where I can get an adaptor to go from one thread size to another? SWDesertRat Report post Posted November 30, 2013 You likely need the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter. I have an extra if that's what you need. If you don't live here in the valley. I'll mail you one. PM me your info if you're interested. -C
nighthawk Report post Posted November 30, 2013 The slik most likely has an insert that is 1/4 that can be taken out. Most tripod heads are 3/8 and will have a insert that comes out with a flat head

joeinaz0 Report post Posted December 2, 2013 Thanks Amanda. That would be great. The male threaded end is 3/8" from the tripod and the slik female end is 1/4". I'll PM you my info. Thanks.
rcdinaz Report post Posted December 2, 2013 You can also usually get them at a camera store. Just mentioning it in case you have to have one ASAP.
