COOSEFAN Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Thanks Coosefan, With the change in application deadlines this year I better get my mind made up. I have hunted Coues deer in unit 23 & Javelina in 27. Both look like good elk country. Both are great units and have just as big a bulls as most other units, just pick one and get to know it better, good luck Thanks Neo, I've had alot of practice hiding broken points in pic's, there's alot of tricks, mainly just try to make it blend in with another tine or a beam, you can even find a light colored branch in the background and line it up with that This one is from last year on a late hunt, he's missing his entire whale's tail on the right, lots of broken bulls then too! catclaw Report post Posted November 27, 2006 We scored on a couple of nice bulls in 10, not the booners that we saw scouting, but a week hunt was suddenly shortened to a weekend and we couldn't be as picky- now if I could just get the photos to post... GTT Report post Posted November 29, 2006 Those are (booner's) to me! Great job! I just got back from 10... We had alot of hunting pressure where we were at & were finding very few elk. We were fortunate enough to find this bull on the third evening in a new area, sneaking out of a draw below us..... 4 shots later & the bull was down! We hunted hard, hiked farther in & glassed alot! & were rewarded with a great bull. This was also his first elk, which made it even better. The bull is a little broke up but It didn't matter to us one bit...He was a fighter! & he's our bull!!!! Bret I'LL try to post pictures.
