Willyhunts2 Report post Posted November 24, 2013 I've been looking around at used rangers and other utv's. Seems like the norm for an 07 or 08 is around 250 hours or 3000 miles. My question is, what is the life expectancy on these machines with all the maintenance being done on time? Do people normally have them checked out by a shop before buying? singleshot Report post Posted November 24, 2013 We recently traded in a 2003 Ranger with over 2100 HOURS on it. It didn't have an odometer only an hour meter. It never saw a mile on a paved road and was driven almost daily. It was in the shop one time for a carburetor issue but all other maintenance , which was only oil and filter changes were done at home. I would say it had over 20,000 miles on it, and was used for ranch work, and used pretty hard. It still ran fine when traded in but it sure showed the abuse cosmetically.
