GRANDE BEAR Report post Posted November 16, 2013 I'm looking to buy a good sturdy tripod head for glassing and to shoot a rifle off of. My question is what head would you all recommend, the Jim White Head or the Manfrotto 701 ? Anyone have either set up and which do you prefer ? I'll be mounting either on Slik 330EZ tripod legs. Kaffer62 Report post Posted November 16, 2013 I really enjoy my outdoorsmans pan head. A bit pricey, but smooth...

oz31p Report post Posted November 17, 2013 I'm not a fan of the Jim white heads. I prefer a fluid head like the 701 or 128rc
elkhunter Report post Posted November 17, 2013 The 701 is too small to shoot a rifle off of, use larger models!
