270wsm recipes

Finally got my new rifle up and running, time to try different loads, I got a load recipe from Casey and want to try others that are out there, the rifle is

A remington 700 in 270 wsm topped with a vortex LR model scope, got all items for reloading now, need multiple recipes to start dialing the scope with

You should pm "greenemachine". He loads my 270wsm for me. And it lays them down.

I had my best results with R17 and 130grn Nosler BT.

140 Accubond, 62 gr. 4831sc, wlrm primer.

 

stock remington 700 w/ vortex scope and turrets. longest kill on jackrabbit so far is 950.

130 ab in front of 64 grains of imr 4350. Work great for me! Killed a coues two mule deer ( one at 450) and an elk this year. Fly out of my gun at 3340. Good luck

With that said, if I were starting over I think I would try 140 accubonds!

That H4831sc + 140 Accubond load I told you is a good one. Shoots really well, and very good velocity.

 

Also, look at RL 17 if you can find it. It has worked well in my 300 wsm and seems like a extremely versatile powder in general.

Great thanks guys! My pops has several different bullets laying aroun from his 270 reloading days, will mix em up 130 and 140 grain with 4831 and 4350 powder to see what works best, thanks for the input
