Any other late season archery elk hunters out there?

Recommended Posts

Might have to. My guide (wife) tore her MCL. Not good. But she will be there for my first archery bull (hopefully) that is all that matters. We can always figure a way to get him out.

Will be in 8 day after thanksgiving. Helping my grandfather and uncle out on their late rifle bull hunts. Late hunts are rugged ones. Goodluck to all.

Pack is emptied, waiting for water pouch, sandwiches, gps, and an elk to pack out. You know I am more than happy to help! Hope the wife's knee holds up to the cold, sometimes makes those tendons even tighter. Try a knee brace with the hand warmers tucked in the sides, could make the difference in comfort and mobility.

... hopefully when we get a few bulls down we can gather up at one of the Payson watering holes for an unofficial CWT.com meet and greet!

sidewinders in pine... full of locals with big storys LOL! 30 min drive or less from your camp.

you'll here the common theme " I have a huge 6x6 bull in my yard every morning" LOL!

get's you fired up!

beer is good and cold though!

Got into lots of elk, no bulls. Even more turkeys.

deer, coyotes, a Fox and a skunk. Everything was on the move yesterday with the storm blowing thru. But it was fun.

Yeah, cold in this tent that's for sure. Thank heaven for handwarmers. I did not see an elk today, lots of sign, but no elk. I maybe should have re-thought doing this alone...
