bigorange Report post Posted November 11, 2013 I stopped by the Southeast Clay Target Center this weekend to check things out...what an awesome facility. 6 fields...3 trap and 3 combo either trap or skeet. $8 per round of 25 targets. Current hours are 8-12 Sat and Sun. Located across Harrison from the existing range near the fairgrounds. Rangemaster told me they're on a 3-month probation period which ends in January, and will be based on participation and also customer comments. It doesn't make sense to me to build such a nice facility and then close it, but I guess those decisions have to be made sometimes. Let's get out there and enjoy it and show our support while it's still available. Maybe a CWT shoot sometime? Any interest out there?
coatimundi01 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 Really?! I was just checking it out about a month ago and was looking forward to trying skeet/trap for the first time.
Big Tub Report post Posted November 12, 2013 Looked really nice but I was there Friday so could not take advantage. How much is a round over at one over near 3-points, for comparison?
Siwash Report post Posted November 12, 2013 There is no trap/skeet range at 3 points, but pretty sure the Tucson Trap & Skeet Club (east of the airport on 86) is now $8 a round trap/skeet for non-members, so it is more a question of where you live in town. There is a new archery range out there at SERP too, with targets out to 100 yards.
kwp Report post Posted November 17, 2013 I went there this morning, great facility. I will need to go there on a more regular basis because my shooting was pretty bad.
audsley Report post Posted November 18, 2013 Tucson's SE regional range costs $8.00 a round (25 birds) but only $7.00 a round if you buy a card for 20 rounds.
bigorange Report post Posted April 27, 2014 Just a quick update here...and a plug for a great facility. Went out there this morning and shot a couple rounds of trap. No comments on how I shot, but had a great time. Check it out if you have a chance...hopefully will expand the hours once better established and more folks shooting. Quite a few folks there today, and even had a couple waiting when we left.
PatrickJr Report post Posted April 28, 2014 im up for a CWT shoot! if you have shot at TTSC, this other new facility that the county runs is great because of a different background. If we get enough people that would commit for the shoot, then we could do it.....i have connections inside of that range.... my dad and i would shoot for sure!!!!! We could do like 50 Trap and 50 skeet....
bigorange Report post Posted April 28, 2014 CWT shoot sounds great...especially if you have connections there.
