dave Report post Posted November 7, 2006 Mr. Hoss, I didn't see where the NRA endorsed any candidates in any state on THEIR web site, did I miss something? I would think they would have endorsements for THEIR candidate in every race in every state??? Maybe I missed something. They do a good job of playing politics here in Arizona to get THEIR commissioner in. I will be sure to give them all the credit for every vote she makes. She voted yes for the Commission to back Prop. 106, I will try to remember that.

coueshunter Report post Posted November 7, 2006 Mr. Hoss. when someone talks about "the NRA's Commissioner" they are talking about Jennifer Martin who was placed in her position by Napalitano and supported by the NRA despite objections by almost all the AZ conservation groups. While Ms. Martin may be a good person, she was much less qualified to perform the duties of commissioner than others. The NRA went on to have fights and mudslinging various AZ people. The NRA's support politically in this state for issues like the 9th court USO ruling and others has been sorely lacking in many outdoors people's minds. P.S. I voted at 6:30 this morning...............Allen.......

DesertBull Report post Posted November 8, 2006 I think Arizona has just passed Cali as the most liberal state in nation. First Nappy, now Harry Mitchell? What the....? And we are the first state to ever defeat a gay marriage ban. Embarrassing. Oh yeah, BOTH land measures look like they will not pass. That's good. Time to move. Anyone ever been to Idaho? It sounds like the Comissioner you speak of is For the Arizona Game and Fish....Is there some terminology I am Missing out on??? HOSS
coueshunter Report post Posted November 8, 2006 Mr. Hoss, I didnt/dont mean to be argumenative. The National Rifle Association helped get Jennifer Martin appointed as one of the Commissioners over the objections of most all the conservation groups here in Arizona. As you know, the commission is a political organization that oversees all aspects of game management for the state of Arizona. I found it very unusual that NRA endorsed Jennifer Martin over a couple other more qualified and "Hunter friendly" candidates that were backed by ADA, AZbowhunters, AZelk etc.........I just am not sure how much NRA does in the interest of AZ hunters. Where were they during the USO fiasco? As to voting, that seems to be the only way we have a voice so everyone must exercise their priveledge to vote.............Allen Taylor........ Rembrant Report post Posted November 8, 2006 The people of the great state of Calizona have spoken. We have established that the comfort of pigs is more important that the sanctity of marraige. And we pass propositions that prevent illegals from sueing anybody, make it hard for them to get out of jail, and dissallow them benifits, and then back the governor and a representitive that have a "whatever" attitude about illegal immegration, so more and more and more will be coming over. Weird. The pig thing was just plain wrong. We have one pig farm in the state, and now it will probably shut down. Way to be Calizona! Question: What is to stop a proposition that would identify hunting as cruel, and call for its ban? All the anti's gotta do is get a petition signed, get it on the ballot and let the people of the great state of Calizona impose their will? Like WE did to Farmer John?
