Zigzag Report post Posted November 11, 2013 Are all whitetails in AZ considered "Coues" deer? The reason I ask is because some pics I see of the deer people take look to be a normal Whitetail that you would see back east (maybe a hybrid) and some pics look like a typical Coues deer down south... Couzer Report post Posted November 11, 2013 Yes and yes, no eastern whitetails out here in Az. If the tail of the deer is a whitetail, then it would be considered to be a Coues Whitetail. There are a few hybrid out there(mule/Coues), but then again there are some brutes of Couse bucks out there that some people try to claim they are hybrids because they are huge.
