Guest Ernesto C Report post Posted November 5, 2006 Ahhh man what a hunt....I think is better to loose the keys and not the truck isn't?? Congratulations and I will say that it score on the high 80's.God bless. Ernesto C
az4life Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Congrats, great story, and a prime example of a hunt to remember. I would like to say he is in the high 90's but the mass just does not support it. Probably 90" + or - a bit... He's a keeper anyway!

COOSEFAN Report post Posted November 6, 2006 my buck grossed 85 and he had no where the lenght that that buck had. my buck has the same about of mass but a wider spread. Hey Casey, I've learned over the years that pictures can be very deceiving! You have to look for size comparisons in a pic. Look at the size of that deers head and ears in relation to his antlers, if this Coues had a Mulie sized head....I would say you are close with a 100" guess. Another thing to look for is the extension of the hunters arm towards the camera as he pushes the deer towards the lense, this is what I call the "Chuck Adams" shot! Some poeple don't like it, some do, I don't like the over-exaggerated ones but I like the animal closer so you can see better detail in the antlers and it does make them look bigger. Josh did a good job with his picture, it's not over-exaggerated but it does make the buck look bigger! It's still a great mid 80"s buck! JIM>

josh Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Hey guys thanks for all the feed back it is much appreciated. I rough scored him before I took him to the taxidermist and came up with 94 1/2 inches I am no expert on scoring and only know it is bigger than my last buck which is what I was looking for. On the way out that night on my quad I ran into a really nice guy who was hunting with his son and told them of a spot I had seen a couple of bucks while hunting and being that the son had never killed a white tail I thought I would let them know about . Well I also explained my situation with the keys to my truck and gave him my number just in case if on the road back to the spot he came across them. Well I recieved a call from him today saying the son shot a 3 point at the spot and on the way out on their quad he found my keys I was blown away. It really is amazing how things can work themselves out. Thanks again Josh
azcouesandelk Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Man that makes the story even better. You were able to help a young man get his first whitetail and he found your keys
