Using the trail cam's IR flash to Trigger a send or third IR flash

I intend to get a trail cam that uses an IR flash for illumination. Due to the short flash range of a lot of IR trail cameras, I want to utilize a method I have used with incandescent flashes where the flash originated in the camera sensing circuit strikes the thumb -sized sensor of the slave unit and it, using its own power source, signals its built -in incandescent flash to fire at the same time as the game camera's flash. A third flash could also be involved for greater coverage. rednrusty

check out the older reconyx trail cams, I think they allowed you to hook up additional IR flashes.
