Badgers are everywhere. Have seen the high and very low elevations.

saw 1 near the gila behind 1 of the fields off of old hwy 85 on a dove hunt... tracks everywhere.

came early the next time to try and call em up but nadda.

when i was in high school me and a buddy where screwing around near chino valley and we saw this badger, so we pull the truck over and start getting the gun out to shoot it. before we can do that, this car comes driving down the dirt road and the dang badger runs right in front of the car and gets hit. the car slams on the brakes, dust is flying and we walk over to the car and this lady is crying,freaking out and says ''i'm sorry i didn't mean to hit your dog!'' me and my buddy started dying laughing

I have called one in while calling coyotes up between Heber and Holbrook a few years ago. A buddy of mine had one attack him while he was irrigating in Idaho one time. He had a shovel and it was chasing him down the ditch bank. My buddy finally turned around and hit it square over the head with the shovel and it didn't kill it. They are tough.
