What rifle scope do you use?

Just purchased a new rifle and looking add a new scope as well? Just curious what everyone else is using and liking.....what do you recommend and what to stay away from?

 

My gun is a savage model 11, 6.5 creedmore - My current scope is a Nikon Buckmaster, 4-14x40, BDC

Love My Zeiss On My 257 Wby, Have Several LeUpolds Too.

Have a 270 rem running swaro Z5, and have two Remington sendero's and running Swaro Z6's on both of them. Its amazing what good glass will do for you.

I have a Valdada 6-24x56 with mp8 crosshairs also have Vortex PST 4-16x50 moa crosshairs. Both scopes are good but the Valdada is CRYSTAL clear with a dot for the center which make precision shots even easier. I have looked through nightforce and like them too they are just not a clear as the Valdada. Look at the Vortex HS models if you are wanting to save money plus have a precision longrange scope. Only downside to Valdada is the price is up there with nightforce being a little more than Valdada. Good luck on your quest.

Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20 x 50

My goto rifle has a Leupold VXII that is 4x12 and is about 18 years old. This year I bought a Zeiss with the Rapid Z Reticle. After using their ballistic program I found that the scope needs to be turned up to 11.5 to 15 power to use the reticles.

If I had know that before I bought the scope I probably would have gone with a single reticle scope and turrets.

I have a vari x III on one rifle, a vortex viper on another and a vx III on a third.

NXS, Leupold MKIV, Vortex PST, Burris (multiple), Bushnell Elite. I bought each one to go with a specific rifle. My next will most likely be a Zeiss for a weight conscious rifle, their performance to weight ratio is about the best I have seen.

 

If you are happy with a ballistic reticle the Zeiss is a great upgrade option. If you want turrets then it would probably be hard to beat Vortex for the price to value ratio and their warranty.

I also have the Ziess Conquest 3-9x Rapid Z 600 reticle. Be careful with a reticle scope, makes you want to shoot further than you should.

ziess conquest. just get the target turrets, don't think about it. you won't look back.

Vortex Razor,Bushell Elite 4200, and Leupolod Var III LR.

 

There is no comparison in optic quality the Vortex is by far much better than the other two... HOWEVER, the Leupold is a great scope and weighs much less...the Bushnell eh....

I am using a luepold vxIII 8.5 to 25. I have always shot Luepold and have never had an issue. They have a killer guide discount if you have a license. Been thinking about looking into the nightforce scopes but havent had a chance yet.
