creed_az_88 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 Well my two young brother in laws made the switch to coues this year and I think its fair to say that they may be hooked. Each boy came into this hunt with two mule deer bucks under their belts and they were chomping at the bit to hunt whitetail. They both fired a few warning shots at good bucks opening morning. Saturday they had sports to tend to and Sunday Anthony and myself were back at it. We made it deep into some country and at about 430 pm Anthony hammered his first coues Buck at 300 yards. What a hard working kid. He packed both front quarters, both back straps, and the head back to the quad. He earned this buck no doubt. Anthony's younger brother Isaiah and I made it out the next day and at sunup we had two bucks spotted and we were on the move. We covered the 3/4 mile distance between us and the bucks in no time and by 7:30 Isaiah had smoked his first coues Buck at 250 yds. I had an awesome time with these boys. I believe that this is the only buck that I've ever seen that had zero black around his muzzle and so much white. Black might have shown up with some age but still very cool.
