elkhutnaz Report post Posted November 3, 2013 Dad started out drawing a elk tag in 6a for the Oct bull hunt so we thru him in for the early wt tag just in case we found a shooter..after 4 days of hard hunting we ate the elk tag and the pressure was on for me to turn up a good deer for my dad..we hit it hard hunting thru the wind sun up to sun down..on the last morning I found 2 great bucks across the canyon from us topping out at 400 yards..My dad never shooting a lot of long distances being from the northeast pulled off a great one shot kill on this monster buck..this is his first book animal and the first his is mounting..after 55 years of hunting I am glad I was with him for this awesome time and buck..taped out at 103 plus.....awesome hunt 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
