jarheadhunter Report post Posted October 29, 2013 Well was pretty close to the AZ border with my buddy Steve for a week and a half on his General Deer hunt. We had a great time. We got invited to some awesome peoples camp and they pretty much have the area down. A lot of just sitting and watching deer funnel through the area from the High Country to the winter grounds. We saw a ton of deer everyday and my buddy passed up deer that normally would of been shot on other General units. I took my Toyota and pulled his Jumping Jack trailer and wheelers and the Yota was loaded down. IDK if we could of fit much more stuff in there. We got to camp Friday the 18th and my buddy didn't shoot this buck until the 23rd. Probably one of the most fun hunts I have been on. My buddy was pretty stoked for this buck. He made a steep downhill shot that ended up being 435 yds. The two of us could barely lift this hog. He had more fat on him then I have ever seen. 3-4" all the way across his back and onto his rump. After gutting, caping him out, cutting the legs off and skinning him he weighed 155 lbs at the meat processor so we estimate over 300 lbs on the hoof. stanley Report post Posted October 29, 2013 Awesome! I was in N. Central Utah with some friends for the general hunt (Unit 11, NW of Price.....). We didn't put anything on the ground, but had a great time! Saw lots of deer, just no big bucks. Thanks for sharing with the site! S.

trophyhnter Report post Posted October 30, 2013 Great buck! That trailer is loaded to the max! Seems like the center of gravity would be a little high on that trailer with two quads on top so you wouldn't want to take turns too fast. How did it handle? jarheadhunter Report post Posted October 31, 2013 Great buck! That trailer is loaded to the max! Seems like the center of gravity would be a little high on that trailer with two quads on top so you wouldn't want to take turns too fast. How did it handle? Well the suspension was about as compressed as it could be and the load was heavy, but I had no problems doing the speed limit 90% of the time. There was a few big hills that bogged me down pretty good. The trailer itself tracked and pulled great. The only limitations was the truck not the trailer. The trailer is Moab rated and they say you can pull it anywhere your truck will pull it. It has a really beefy axle so I could imagine you could go just about anywhere.
