Guest AZ>NMcouesaddict Report post Posted November 8, 2006 Deerslam, I wouldn't call lion sighting rare, but they are limited. I think the number of sighting depends on several things, such as, type of hunting you do, area, and good ol fashion luck. I've seen some where around 20 lions. Since I starting hunting coues a few years ago, I've shot one, watched my wife scare one off, my brother has shot two and seen five, a close friend killed one last year. I think alot of that has to do with the broken country we hunt and spending lots of time behind binos. I've also seen them in the timber country and nearly ran over a pair last July near Reserve NM. Lance Report post Posted November 11, 2006 Great Buck! Did you score him? That would not be my first choice on a place to hunt. Dead bucks and few deer is what I would expect to find on Lion Mountain.
