roninflag Report post Posted October 30, 2013 STOMP, I'm using a Rossi .223 which has been effective, but it is a 1:10 twist and doesn't throw anything heavier than 62gr worth a dang. Need a deer-capable rifle with the ability to shoot heavier bullets that buck the wind. it is the barrel/gun not the twist. i used a 1-12 twist 243 to win my first 1000 yard match. i have several 1-10 twist .243 they do great with 100 grain horn and sierras.
