CouesWhitetail Report post Posted October 27, 2013 Reward offered in elk poaching case near Globe GLOBE, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking the public’s help in finding the person(s) responsible for the illegal shooting of a bull elk north of Globe in the Carol Spring area in Game Management Unit 24A. Game and Fish officers investigating the case found the carcass of one bull elk illegally shot. The head had been removed and the rest of the animal had been left to waste. The carcass was found near a pond off Forest Road 355 approximately 2.75 miles East of highway 60. The shooting most likely occurred between the evening of Oct. 2 or the morning of Oct. 3. The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Operation Game Thief Program is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
