Workman Report post Posted October 29, 2013 I've been really pleased with the gold tip kinetic XT. They're heavy (489gr) but that's what I was looking for. They're shooting 286fps out of my Bowtech Experience, 30.5 draw, pulling 68lbs!

Snapshot Report post Posted November 5, 2013 Thanks to everyone for the great info. I am going to check various prices and comparisons on each.
rcdinaz Report post Posted November 5, 2013 The ones you have to look for that just went through a critter! Check out black eagle arrows as well. Great company, great arrows, and the zombie slayer logo is very cool!
Ross Outdoors Report post Posted November 8, 2013 Our number one seller in 2013 was the Easton Axis, great bang for your buck and it is definitely a durable hunting arrow. We sell lots of Victory VAPs as well, amazing penetration and flight in wind. However, some people don't care for the weakness of the insert/outsert. Gold Tip is hard to beat for price/quality. Happy hunting!

Teamhoyt5 Report post Posted November 12, 2013 Easton Axis FMJ I have to agree Easton FMJ are awesome. I always get great penetration and kinetic energy out of them. I killed a doe in early October with one that had the new Rage Chisel Tip Extreme with a clean pass through and stuck into the ground 6 inches. Cleaned the blood off the arrow and then three weeks later shot a buck at 46 yards with the same arrow and broadhead. I love the stiffness and accuracy the bring to the table. Just my two cents. Good Hunting.
azbwhnter Report post Posted November 17, 2013 I've shot the ACC's since the late 90's, and will probably never stop. Other than the possibility of bending or denting, I can't find any reason to change. My hunting arrow is the 3-60 and it weighs 416 grains, that's with a 100 grain broad head. I shoot a 29.5" draw and 69 lb bow, the ACC's come off the bow at 294 fps. That's plenty fast for me. I've taken elk, deer and javelina with the same set up and they hit the animals impressively hard! There are a lot of good arrows on the market right now. Good luck with your choice! Sounds like we shoot the same setup. I also use the 3-60/340, at 29.5" draw, with the 100 grain, 3 blade thunderhead. It's great arrow, and I have no real reason to change, other than sometimes a guy just needs to buy new stuff
wtlathen Report post Posted November 28, 2013 Lately I've been real impressed with GT pro hunters. Very straight, tough and not to heavy at 8.2gpi. With your graw weight and length you are almost at ibo specs. Build a good stiff arrow right at 350grns and you will have plenty of speed and energy to do just about anything you want. GotBowAz Report post Posted December 10, 2013 I shoot FMJ 340's and think their a great over all weighted arrow. At 11.3 grains an inch they pack a punch. I shoot a 2 inch wide 2 blade Mechanical so I need all the momentum I can get. Hope to be using them on Elk next year in 2014 with a little more added FOC from a brass insert. Should boost me up to around 555 grains total arrow weight. GBA
mattys281 Report post Posted December 16, 2013 I've been shooting pse's carbonforce x-weaves for as long as I can remember. So far I've seen them blow through a few deer and a couple Javis as well. They're a little on the light side but are tough as nails. I've been shooting the same dozen for more than three years now and haven't broken or lost one yet. Come to think of it, its been a few years since I went rabbit hunting... guess now I know why this dozen has lasted so long.
