Expecting Instant Gratification

Yep, it's a different universe on 30 minute hunting show. Man, it would be nice to have people carry my gear for me. I do not like many hunting shows that are not filmed in the west. The cows in Arizona are more wild than those "practically hand fed" deer in those East/South/Midwest shows.

I usually can't watch the shows - it's like the same show over and over with slightly different backdrops. I'd love to see some REAL hunts on TV, like ADDICT's Ibex hunt, or even just some public land DIY hunts where everything isn't so cut and dry. I think shows where guys work hard on public land without guides, but show true hunting skills, even if they ended up not killing, would do a lot more to attract the "right" kind of people to our sport, and with a better attitude and set of expectations.

+1 on any video that Addict has put out. That guy is the freaking man! I don't watch any of the hunting shows on t.v anymore. I just can't stay interested.

Excellent point - For those of you have not seen these, you are in for a treat This is the kind of show I would love to see more of.

Ridge Reaper has been a good series this year. I like the elk stuff for the most part but I do agree with how do those guys get drawn in Az so much. New mexico is easy most of the outfitters comp their hunts with land owner tags so they can get their outfits on TV.
