Outdoorsman tall or short bino adapter?

Recommended Posts

Well, long story short my Swarovski binocular adapter fell apart 1/2 way thru my archery bull hunt this year. (the collet inside the adapter fell apart.) Swarovski apparently does not warranty this item at all. Its a no brainier to purchase the Outdoorsman as a replacement. I will be mounting Swarovski 15x56 SLC's to a Manfrotto tripod with Manfrotto 700RC2 Mini pan head. My question is will I need the Tall or short Outdoorsman adapter?

Thanks,

Speedy.

The short will work fine unless you want some additional height out of your tripod. If you call them they will tell you everything you need to know and more.

I like the short but if you have close set eyes you may need an extra base for the extra inch to allow the binos to adjust all the way in together...

Yes exactly! I have to use the tall to get them all the way adjusted.

All great info! Thanks everyone. After some reverse engineering and some time on the lathe I was actually able to repair the Swaro adapter. After my frustration with a broken adapter 1/2 way through a hunt and Swaros "we cant help you" email I was half tempted to pitch it regardless. Then the thought of being able to put the $150 I'd save by fixing it toward something else got the better of me. So its fixed.

Thank you all again for the reply's.

Speedy.

I have the long & short adapter. You can barrow one anytime. I use the long one most of the time.
