Guest wdenike Report post Posted October 20, 2013 To answer the question on the other post about spotters. I use both bino's and a spotter. And on occasion that I have left the spotter home. I have been Pissed. But I didn't want to jack his topic, so I started this one. I Have a Vortex 20x60x80 Sky Line ED. I have looked through all the big name spotters in the stores. And I know they are probably better than the ed. But I have never had them side by side in the field. This being said I have never once looked through the Sky Line and been disappointed. Do I just have one that is a freak and just has a little more polished glass. Or are there others that have The same experiences with them?? Take care, Willie

Becker Report post Posted October 20, 2013 I seem to notice subtle differences in more colors than anything comparing different brands. All your top end companies swaro, Zeiss, Nikon, vortex will all be comparable IMO. I think it's more personal preference of the particular person. I have always had Luepold rifle scopes since I was little. Never had a problem with one yet and it's what I use today. Are they better than Zeiss or Swarovski scopes? Not sure but I am confident in them. I think the same comes down to binos and spotters. I still have my very first pair of binoculars my father bought me. They are believe it or not a pair of tasco's. The labels are all wore off but they are some type of higher end ones and I have never seen them anywhere ever to try and buy again. But they still feel comfortable to me when I use them. Mostly I think because I have used them forever. They are my truck center console binos now but I still love them. I have dropped the money on everything else Swaro and I am completely satisfied. I have looked through Zeiss, vortex, Nikon and everything else but I just feel at home when I look back through my swaros. Not sure if that makes sense but that's my 2 cents on optics. If you like them and they work for you and you are successful in finding game with them I don't really see what it matters brand wise what you prefer. The top end names brands are splitting atoms when it comes to comparing and not even sure if the human eye can really tell the difference or if its just state of mind that seems to make one appear better than the other!
