deercrazy Report post Posted October 10, 2013 I like the Mossy Oak Brush. I think it works well in all situations, and it is easily available.
Viper Report post Posted October 10, 2013 I used the all cotton Predator camo for several years. Great pattern for up close bow hunting. I typically use the double front Carhardts for rifle WT, with a Kings Desert shirt. If it's warm, I wear the zip-off cargo pants. Just unzipping the legs half way really cools the legs. I also have several pieces of the Russel APX in treestand. I have recently been aquiring the C4E clothing in Mountain Mimacry. The merino base layers are excellent. I get it for a good price off of Camofire. Since aquiring the non-cotton "technical" clothing, I never wear the cotton stuff anymore. Many patterns on the market work well. The key is a loose pattern to break up your human form.

wayno945 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 Ive been wearing Kings desert shadow wherever I'm at in AZ for years. This year I've been wearing Kuiu and I have to say, it is the most comfortable clothing I own, it's like I'm in my birthday suit! +100 on the Kuiu gear. I'm in the process of replacing all of my Max-1 with Kuiu in the Vias pattern. It really breaks up your outline in virtually every environment, plus it's the most comfortable stuff I've ever worn. Hunting or not.. Same here... they're like pajamas! Love the Kuiu in VIas camo.
bigorange Report post Posted October 10, 2013 +1 on what's cheapest and what's clean. Cabelas silent weave has been on sale btw so picked up another set last week. Usually one of the following or mix and match...mostly hunting southern units and desert. Seclusion 3d open country Kings desert Realtree AP Mossy Oak brush I even have some 20-yr old Mossy Oak treestand that I wear every once in a while for nostalgia or after hunting several day and everything else is getting ripe. Scooter Report post Posted October 23, 2013 I've owned and worn lots of different patterns, but i'd have to say that Realtree APHD, Mossy Oak Brush, Seclusion 3D Open Country, and King's Mountain Shadow are all very good patterns around here. Back east, I like Mossy Oak Break Up, Advantage Timber, and the older Realtree Hardwoods 20/200. For ducks in the cattails and corn I go to Advantage MAX-4... I think Mossy Oak Brush is my favorite recently- as I've had some very close encounters with predators that I've called in. It blends into the grass and dirt really well around here. I remember my first set of "high-tech" hunting camo... Trebark.

coatimundi01 Report post Posted October 23, 2013 I've only started gathering camo this year. I've to a couple loose long sleeves in AP, then got some habit pants in RT xtra. Then I discovered camofire and my wife has hated me ever since! :b I now have C4E switchback pants in mountain mimicry, a c4e hoodie, merino top, beanie, hat, balaclava all in MM... Just recently found a russell apx gale jacket in AP on sale for $90... I think I've maxed out my wife's, I mean my, camo quota for the year... I really like the mountain mimicry, for desert mountains it might not be great as the rocks are always darker, but the yellow matches the desert flats grass pretty well. I got it for those open grassy hillsides in the oak scrub, I think it'll do perfect.
bonecollector Report post Posted October 24, 2013 I just replaced some of my kings camo with a set of sitka and a set of kuiu. I will say I like the kuiu a little better than the sitka and they sent me a 15% off coupon so i ordered some more.
SwarovskiCoues Report post Posted November 20, 2013 i was always thought high dollar camoflauge was just pointless but this year i purchased quite a bit of Sitka and would have to say its very very comfortable the way they designed the way it fits to your body, i see everyone liking Kuiu so i might have to get some soon
