rclouse79 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 For months I have been looking forward to my out of state rile elk hunt that opens this Saturday. I spent most of my summer selling old gear, researching new gear, buying new gear, and getting in shape. More nights than not I have stayed awake for hours after laying down with thoughts of elk and mountains running through my head. So now the hunt is upon me and I am starting to get that feeling in my sinuses and throat that tells me something is not quite right. I have been trying to ignore the feeling, hoping that if I don’t acknowledge it maybe it will go away. I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a little depressed with the timing of getting this crud. How many people out there have had to deal with sickness on a hunt. What drugs did you take to make it bearable? I am talking about the kind you can buy at Walmart, in case anyone is confused. rancilio Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Go see your doc right quick. Tell her what is up and see about a culture before you start taking antibiotics. It might put your worries to rest too.
Lucafu1 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 strep is going around right now. i would go to walgreens and get tested and if you do have it (or ear infection for example) you can get some antibiotics.

GreeneMachine Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Sweat it out and vitamin C +1. As soon as you start feeling the symptoms, pound the Airborne and hit the sauna. Hit it hard before it hits you hard.
