I just talked to Jim and he said he's on his way out the door and so am I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

He also said his total pack weight is 48lbs. Mine is 70lbs. :( Not fair, what did I pack? Oh well, once we get to where we'll camp I'll lose most of that weight and hopefully we'll both tag out on video! Talk to ya'll later, best of luck to everyone. BE SAFE!

Has Coosefan been near your pack? I'd check it for half of his gear or a rock or two. Best way to feel in shape is to slow your partner down ;)

Good luck on your hunt!

Its much easier to hide 5lb. and 10lb. weight plates in a pack then rocks. The 10lb plates are hard to find stuffed in between the folds of pants. and the 5 pounders are easily snuck in the outside pockets of anythign with bigger compartments. :D :P

Hey Shortpants, when push comes to a shove, you'd better remind Jim who carried the water and who didn't.

I'm already feeling bad for him; having dinner and hitting the sack dehydrated is miserable!

Hey shortpants,

Look at it this way, 70Lbs carried in means 150 or so carried out if you get a biggun!

Hope yor pack can handle it all! Good Luck

I actually had more water than Shorty did  .......he had 22 pounds of Dr.Peppers hidden in his! I wish I had seen the suggestions about adding rocks to his pack before we left....I would have done it :P

We did only have enough water for about 3 days and hiked back to one of the trucks. JIM>

Now that is just cruel there. When I first started guiding in Alaska it was about my third day. I had to pack in about 2 miles to where we were fishing that day and hiked all the way in the mile up and down stream and then when I got back to the lodge all the guides were laughing since they had put about 15 to 20 pounds of rocks in my pack. I thought it felt heavy but I thought I was just still getting in shape.
