almost Report post Posted October 5, 2013 I started archery hunting two years ago and have now been fortunate enough to kill my first deer (a smaller 4x4) a month into it, a nice 4x this past sept and now my first elk (a smaller 5x6) also this sept. My hobby has developed into a passion/addiction and now I have my sites set on a coues for 2014. I started archery hunting when I was working and living around ray mine/superior which I know is great white tail hunting. Since then I have moved back home to Prescott and don't know where to start. If need be I'll make a couple weekend trips back down south in January but.if I can make use of the time between now and then getting to know an area closer to home I think my goal will be more achievable. I have spent a ton of time in my youth quail hunting around the area but never big game and have never seen a coues near here. I work in bagdad so somewhere between there and Prescott would be ideal but not necessary. Not looking for honey holes just general areas for me to start looking. Thanks for any help and good luck to everyone this year!
dieselroe Report post Posted October 8, 2013 I don't have any info about this area. But the Game and Fish site gives a really good description of all units. They list the most popular areas. You can also call the game and fish and they will give you the cell number of the local warden. He will then give you some tips if your nice to him.....lol I've had a warden tip me off to a good area before and killed on the last day.

almost Report post Posted October 9, 2013 @ hunterjohnny, that's crazy. I've hunted around there quite a bit for mule deer but have never seen a coues.
