Kilimanjaro Report post Posted October 24, 2006 here is a pic of the "weener" buck I've been watching up until now.. He may look like a photoshopped TX buck, but don't be fooled!! That my friend is 100% pure AZ coues..Gauranteed!! I took that pic thru the Swaros last week while out scouting.. I've got him patterned in the last few weeks..He's staying in the flats..I hope all of those Oct hunters don't spook him up into the hills.. You know, it just gets too hard to hike around those hills.. If I take him, I'll probably just do a horn mount to hang my caps on.. You know, with all the points and all, it should work out nicely!! So, don't be shootin' my buck!!

fatfootdoc Report post Posted October 24, 2006 That is funny, I was out scouting and heeding the call of mother nature(spaghetti chili ouch) and trying to get the deisel fuel off of my camos that I had packed in mothballs and that same buck came in from upwind except it was in unit 23 in NM, how on earth did he get to AZ? Rembrant Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Scottyboy, I'm thinkin you ain't too smart. There are ways to find out what unit you are in. Didn't think of that did you? Then all a guy has got to do is find that grassy flat (thanks for the 'flat' clue). And then finding those two uniquely shaped cacti - no two look alike, you know. Don't be cryin' when someone else shoots your hat rack. I hope you learn from this! Sheeeeeez! Mike
shortpants Report post Posted October 24, 2006 I don't know why you would even fuss about a dink like that anyway. I hope you do shoot him just to get him out of the gene pool!
mulie hunter Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Yeah, I agree with shortpants, except give him a year or two to see if he will amount to anything.

matthewp45 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 A buck like that should be dumb enough to kill with a bow. heck why don't you just take your knife and stab him!
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Any more pics? Dan You know this!! Actually, I don't have anymore pics of that particular buck, BUT, I do have pics of another buck I've been keeping tabs on for awhile.. I took this pic from my trail cam that I hid next to the Industrial Sized... make that TEXAS sized super duper protien feeder I hauled (on my back mind you) into the remote canyon where I'm keepin this dinker.. It ain't no step for a stepper.. I think I'll just end up shooting the buck in my first pic with my rifle and then come Jan 1st, I'll just go ahead and put this cull down with my bow. Again, don't be fooled by the pics.. I took this pic in the nastiest, manzanita covered slopes I could find to put my feeder.. ahhmm.. salt lick.. So, don't be hunting my bucks!! Gentlemen, I do trust you'll keep a tight lip when someone tries to pull any info from you about these bucks.. they're already spoken for!!
