CWpredator Report post Posted October 3, 2013 Carter RX2 and a TruFire Hardcore max. I also shoot a Carter hammer for 3D and Spot shoots. The Carter's in my opinion are by far the finest releases I've every shot but I had one malfunction and the sear snapped while drawing my bow while on a deer hunt in Illinois last year costing me a nice buck (why I carry the TruFire as a backup). Maverick351 Report post Posted October 8, 2013 I have shot Scott's, truball, and trufire. I was using the truball beast and liked it but switched to a trufire hardcore max and liked it the best. I then switched to carter and now shoot a stan and have no intentions on changing any time soon.

GotBowAz Report post Posted October 9, 2013 I shot a Fletch Hunter release for year and years. I killed a lot of critters with it and I still have it. In a hurry it was a little hard to get it closed onto the loop and I always had to look down (making more movement) to get it hooked on. I went out and tried a few releases and I settled on the Tru Fire hardcore for a couple of reasons. First off just by feel alone I could hook the sting loop on really easy without looking down. That was key for me, then one of the best options is how it folds back out of the way so when I'm glassing im not having to turn it around to the backside of my hand or have it whacking against the side of my Bino’s.
