awatson Report post Posted October 1, 2013 I don't think anything State run is shut down, but hopefully DES offices nationwide and maybe the Food Stamp program are shut down....if only temporarily. Our ability to survive the entire day supports my assertion that a large portion of what the federal government does is waste, ripe for cutting (I'm talking entitlements, not the military). Sorry to hijack your thread.

Sorry to hijack your thread. It's too early to tell anything yet, besides "essential" jobs are working for IOU's right now. If this goes on for along time, things will change. Unfortunetly entitlements as always are not on the cutting board so it will hurt more than help. Not right we can't enjoy our national parks and such, us taxpayers work to fund. This whole thing could've been avoided along time ago, both sides are to blame. Liberal craziness and weak conservatism.
elkhunter Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Parts of azgfd will shut down but it's for endangered species projects because they are partially funded by the Feds, the rest of azgfd will operate as usual
654321 Report post Posted October 4, 2013 I'm no expert but I would guess there is very little of the G&F that isn't partially funded by the Feds, in fact they get a huge amount of money from the Feds I believe it is about a 3 to 1 match dollar wise. I'm not sure when the Feds give them the money though, G&F cycle is July to June where the Feds go from Oct. to Sept.
