DesertBull Report post Posted September 28, 2013 What should scare anyone, liberal, conservative or moderate, is that this Government cannot operate a single day without borrowed money, even though revenues are at record levels.
Guest wdenike Report post Posted September 28, 2013 I would have hit the like button 20 times but didn't want to waste a lot of space. How nice it will be not having the morons around to screw things up. The only thing better would be if it was the ones at the top, and they didn't get paid. FAT CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING. Take care, Willie
Snapshot Report post Posted September 28, 2013 It's not like the Government does anything anyway. Would we even miss them if they are not there? Not me. It would be a great day if they could defund Obamacare, but it won't happen. The Democrats that are pretending to be Republicans will cave in, just as they always do. They have no guts, and are afraid of the Liberal media backlash. But as Obama claims "There is no proof that Obamacare is hurting the business job sector" Yea right. I wonder what this guy smokes in the morning? I have plenty of proof, and I would like to tattoo it to his forehead.
ctafoya Report post Posted October 1, 2013 Well, it's shut down. Now what? Obamacare still goes on. A$$holes in washington still get paid. Government employees are without a paycheck. What are we accomplishing here? They will eventually cave to the libtards and life will go on.
mr.smith Report post Posted October 1, 2013 Yay! I'm getting an unpaid vacation. How is this better?
Snapshot Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Those of you who work for the Feds will feel the collateral effects of a shutdown, as well as those of us who don't. If the Dem's won't make a deal, why should the Republicans? I am glad the right is taking a hardline stance, even if it probably won't last. The Dem's won't give in, and we will all feel the harsh economic sting of Obamacare over the coming years. It just proves how arrogant and mindless the Democrats are. Everyone knows what a disaster Obamacare is going to be, except for Obama and his band of idiots. But in reality, Obama knows what a disaster it is, and that is his modus operandi. Just wait and see. The sniveling cowards in the GOP will cave in as they always do, and it will be back to corruption as usual.
AZ8 Report post Posted October 2, 2013 This marks the 18th Government shutdown. Like clockwork, the country continued to function, the sun still rose in the East and the American people quickly forgot about it just a few days later. I feel for those of you that have been forced into unpaid status. However, there are 1,000's of jobs being eliminated everyday in the private sector. Jobs that will never come back. Middle aged adults unable to find a job because companies don't want to hire a 56 year worker. The private sector is shifting to part-time employment to counteract Obamacare. Although you may be furloughed, after these politicians finish kissing each other's a$$es, you will have a job to go back to in a few days. Unfortunately, many of your fellow Americans have no job to go back to. This current administration has shifted the market place in such a way, permanent unemployment is the new norm. With the weight of Obamacare smothering small private business, the outlook for future jobs is bleak. The fundamental belief that the Government is responsible for your success has failed since the dawn of time. Freedom is what makes a person. Without it, nothing else matters. It secures Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. I'm not a doomsday believer, but I have to say, if the current economic policies continue, the United States as we know it with be fundamentally changed forever. The next 5-10 years with be difficult for millions of hard working Americans. We've come to a crossroads: Secure our freedoms or succumb to the Federal Government to take care of us "womb to tomb"

Guest wdenike Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Forlorn Hope, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! Couldn't have been said better if you had that crafty sob that writes the speeches for the loser in the white house. Everything you said was spot on. Funny thing is my wife's employer. Which she has been employed for 15 years is already trying to jockey hours. And worse yet we had the best health care in the business, and she got a letter saying to go onto the gooberment site to see what is available. Even funnier thing is it is a union shop, the same sobs that were instrumental in putting the clown back in the white house. Remember? If you have insurance you can keep it, if you have a doctor you can keep it. Well we better hang on to our hind ends, because it's going to be a wild ride. Because you can tell when that sorry sob is lying, when his lips are moving!!!!! Take care, Willie
mr.smith Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Another fundamental shift not noticed by the private sector is a decrease in "permanent" federal employees. There has been a shift to hiring "term" employees. Our jobs are not guaranteed. We have to perform to be extended each year and have to reapply/compete for our jobs every four years. Additionally with budget cuts vacant positions are being filled at a slower rate if at all. So, it isn't all peaches and cream and there are no guarantees, at least not in the Department of the Interior.
Guest wdenike Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Don't want to rain on your parade, and definitely not saying you don't have good work ethics. But really welcome to the real world, either produce or get run off. There shouldn't be a yellow brick road any where!!! Take care, Willie
