GreeneMachine Report post Posted October 3, 2013 Sitting here thinking, I really hope the lucky hunter that took this deer is a member of this site and has been reading this thread for the last week because at least then he would probably feel like he was somewhat involved or at least aware of this conversation. If he's not a member, how weird and messed up would it be if this guy stumbled upon this conversation a month from now to see that a bunch of people he doesn't even know have been questioning his ethics for the past month?! This dudes probably still on cloud nine, meanwhile a handful of jealous haters are questioning his ethics in taking a deer they've never even seen a pic of or heard a first (or second) hand story about. If the hunter that took this deer is following this post, congrats!

bonecollector777 Report post Posted October 3, 2013 After looking back on some of my posts I do realize I shouldn't have jumped to a conclusion about the mans deer. It was never meant to question his ethics as a hunter. When I first read it I just posted what I first thought of hearing about a big buck taking that long to get to a taxidermist. Now looking back it wasn't the best idea seeing that it may cause him and others to not want to post here on the site. So I would like to apologize to the anyone that may have been involved in the taking of the deer. I hope others won't be afraid to post their pictures because of this thread and that we can all end up enjoying some pics of this monster buck.

BOHNTR Report post Posted October 3, 2013 Good on you bonecollector for your latest post! While I can't produce a photo of the buck in question, I can confirm that big ol' bucks are taken every so often in the low desert units and not really advertised......if ever. I can still recall the morning my hunting partner and I hunted this big ol' desert buck and he was able to put arrow through his chest at 15 yards! The buck officially measured in the low 190's, I believe. Not sure if I ever posted this photo much.......but it gives us something to look at.

I may have been hard on you as well and for that I apologize, I just don't like accusations without merit or substance. Now on the other hand if one knows there is some thing wrong speak up,there is always a lesson to be learned. Again thank you.
