bonecollector777 Report post Posted October 1, 2013 That's the problem is you think that I am going to change my way of thinking or apologize because you think you deserve an apology. Getting offended is your choice and your choice only. The only action I took in this thread was me stating my opinion on whether the buck was legit or not. Which was way before anyone else posted anything about it. I'm curious what implications come with my giving my opinion on a deer that was killed? That's my point is you take my simple post and then start trying to turn it into a criminal act I am supposedly committing by giving my opinion. If you really wanna go that far as to make it sound like something is going to happen to me for stating my opinion then you truly do let my posts get to you way more than they should. You weren't ever going to see that buck anyway but if it makes you feel better you can blame me
deserttacoma84 Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Its a simple word called humility. You lack it. You are young and while thats not a bad thing. There is still alot you can learn. You go around here pounding your chest acting like you know all. People dont like that. You should want people to respect you and your opinions while also being humble and knowing when to mind your own... That is what people dont like. Until then, the disagreements will continue. No one likes a know-it-all..

You weren't ever going to see that buck anyway but if it makes you feel better you can blame me I will only respond to your question as to the implications that come with giving your opinion on a deer that was killed... I will give one: If this deer ever does come into the public realm, or even into the record books, people are going to search for information regarding it. A simple google search using the state, score, unit, etc. will turn up this website and this thread. What's the first thing these people searching the internet are going to find? That's right, you making things up and giving your "opinion" based on nothing more than the illusions in your head. The posters here who are regulars may know about your "opinions" and how you speak your mind irregardless of the consequences, but those that just happen onto this site via google will not....their first impression of this buck will be your misrepresented, false "opinions." If they take that understanding of the buck away from this site, then you have successfully hurt and degraded the legacy of the buck and the hunter. Standing up against this kind of "opinion" is not "crying." It is the right thing to do and I am happy that many, including those who actually know about the circumstances regarding this buck, have stood up to correct your "opinions." PS I don't want nor need an apology from you. However, the anonymous hunter whose buck you have dragged through defecation pile may appreciate it.
ctafoya Report post Posted October 2, 2013 This is why I never will post ANYTHING I kill on this or any other site. Its to rack is too small so out come the bashers. Its too big so I must have poached it. An opinion is just that, but now it seems like this topic is hyjacking every post someone makes. Ridiculous.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted October 2, 2013 This topic was hijacked many pages ago. Desert Tacoma, very well said. I agree totally. I would hope the google search reveals everyone's comments on this topic but you may be right, only bc777's comments may come up. I hope one day I am able to shoot a record breaking animal. If I do I will post it here and only here. This is the only forum I follow. If trouble arises I look forward to it. G&F can come investigate, people can talk bad or good. I'll know the truth and back it up.

couesmagnet Report post Posted October 2, 2013 I thought about posting a 389 bull i killed a couple of years ago with my bow, but stopped short because of how much time has gone by since then. Since i didnt post the pics right away for the info police, i figured i might be accused of using chemical weapons on the big boy, or even yet maybe i poached him in the velvet, then had the antlers stained with juniper varnish to the perfect color and then got a few photo shopped pics of him fresh in the field. I figured i would have to much explaining to do so i elected to not post.
reddog Report post Posted October 2, 2013 I have pictures on my phone of this deer, assuming we are talking about the same deer, and the guy who shot it is a stand up dude. I see no reason to drag this trophy through the mud. Why would we even question it? Does any one have any info that said something "fishy" went on with the harvesting of the deer? If just enjoy the fact that there are still great deer out there just waiting to be found! REDDOG
Antmo23 Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Red dog, please do whatever you can to get the lucky hunter to post pics of that beast! Or get permission to post the pics you have. I just what to see this giant buck and maybe relive the hunt thru a story. Either way, tell your buddy congrats, and start a new thread if he decides to post pics. Thanks!

Guest wdenike Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Am I the only one that thinks maybe some need to work a little harder at getting to the woods, and making their own real life exciting hunts or scouting trips?? Amazing Take care, Willie
couesmagnet Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Am I the only one that thinks maybe some need to work a little harder at getting to the woods, and making their own real life exciting hunts or scouting trips?? Amazing Take care, Willie Spot on wdenike, i just got back from a straight 30 plus day run in the forest. When i left 30 days ago alot of people were bashing the unit 9 guys buck and his whole life in general. 30 days later i come home and i see some are about to start on a new guy and his trophy. I'm about to leave for another 30 days , can't wait to see who the info police will be after when i get back. Some go hunting, and some hunt others that are trying to go hunting and enjoy themselves. CWpredator Report post Posted October 2, 2013 I too have pictures of the buck and know the hunter there was nothing fishy about the buck and if we are talking about the same deer the guy who killed him is a very stand up guy and has taken lots of other quality animals. That's some real sound logic..... to assume something "fishy" because no one informed YOU of this or YOU didnt hear about it or see it....
