Guest wdenike Report post Posted September 28, 2013 Not Everyone Has The Money, Especially If Killed In December..... Why Instantly Throw Schit On Something That Is Just Rumored To Exist..... lol, just cuz because a guy doesnt post a report on the internet about their deer doesnt mean it was taken illegally. a lot a jealousy it sounds like. I see absolutely NOTHING fishy about it, different strokes for different folks. I would love to see pictures and hear the story. Too many people afraid there might be a new HERO in town !!! I know I read on this site for a few years. Than I finally registered. And it took a while to do some posting. But I highly doubt that I am the only hillbilly recluse, that doesn't share his business with every clown that waltz's off the mountain. If ya ain't in the loop, your getting the high how ya doin have a nice day deal. For mostly reasons just like this. If something is foul it will probably surface. But I don't think a bunch of wash women that don't know, shouting it from the top of the mountain on a public forum is the answer. I mean come on! Chef Report post Posted September 28, 2013 Mud slinging and accusations is exactly the reason a lot of trophies don't get shared with the site. Many times, when big trophies are taken, we try and acquire permission from the hunter to post a photo or have them share their own story. Believe me, it gets difficult at times.I see photos of more big trophies, of many species, than what appear on this site. Every year.

trphyhntr Report post Posted September 28, 2013 its the internet age. my old man doesnt know how to use the internet, if he killed a 300" buck i dont see how a soul except people at gas stations on the way home would even know about it.
Elkhunter1 Report post Posted September 28, 2013 Sounds a little fishy to me bringing in such a huge buck nearly a year after it was killed? Wonder if they brought in a cape with it or needed a new one? For obvious reasons. . . I know if I had dropped a 200" deer I wouldn't wait that long to bring to a taxidermy shop or tell someone. That kind of a deer is world class. Something isn't right. You would think they would at least bring it in to have the hide sent off to the tannery and the antlers injected with formaldehyde, if money was the problem. That doesn't cost a whole lot. Curious how they preserved the velvet that long? I'm sure people will be on me for jumping to conclusions but who knows if this buck wasn't killed recently while out of season because they couldn't pass up such a monster buck, thrown in the freezer for a couple days, and then brought to the taxidermist with last years tag to make the story fit. A buck killed on the strip that is 200" with a bow is spread around fast. One from an area that doesn't usually produce them would have spread around even faster. Hmm.. guess that proves my theory wrong huh haha who knows I guess. Just seems like an awful long time to bring such a great buck to the taxidermist. This type of B.S. is exactly why more and more posters aren't posting as often as they used to, me included! If you don't know the whole story keep your big mouth shut!!!!!!!!!!! This crap is only bringing this site down and is isn't wanted here. We post on this site to celebrate our passion for the chase of all game. WE all need to think before we hit "post".

JOEDKILLA Report post Posted September 29, 2013 This post was started whith the sole intent of gaining knowledge on what could potentially be the largest typical Desert Mulie ever taken with a bow in our state. All skepticism aside, it's quite a tremendous acomplishment. It was never intended (this post) to P.O. the forum POLICE. With that said lets try and keep this discussion civil on both sides and hopefully learn more about this amazing trophy and honor it acordingly. I know I'm not the only curious one out there.

I agree with your original posting, and yes I would love to see any pics. I don't want to be the "Forum Police" I just don't understand the way people are now a days. I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all!!! Yes I Have my opinions and yes I do voice them, but I don't point fingers and say that something was or sounds illegal without proof. False accusations only put mud on the face of the accuser, and this site as it is the platform with which the accusation was launched.
bonecollector777 Report post Posted September 29, 2013 Haha here we go. . everybody gonna get their panties in a wad about a couple people questioning something that sounds fishy. Cry about if you like. Write in BIG LETTERS and make it seem like you're SO angry. But if something sounds fishy then I am going to post what I think about it. If I killed a buck like that and people started saying it was poached or whatever and didn't know the story I really wouldn't care because I would know it was legal. And that's all that matters. If people don't wanna post their pictures on here that's their choice. If they have a legitimate story with it no one questions it. But when something like this comes up people will question it. Kinda like the big deer killed a couple weeks ago out of the Grand Canyon National park. If someone hadn't of posted a picture of that buck eating off the side of the highway in the park no one would have ever questioned the story. So as long as fishy stories pop up I'll keep questioning them and if you guys don't like it it's your choice to get offended or not.
couesmagnet Report post Posted September 29, 2013 Some guys believe it or not don't want all the attention that comes from posting pics of their kills. They would rather be a fly on the wall so to speak. Why would anyone question the buck this post is about just because the guy didnt want to post a pic or brag about his kill. We don't post pics either and probably never will, its just not worth it, when there is always someone who has to jump into the post usually not knowing anything about anything, but instead just to stir the pot and inject uncertainty into the posters kill. It's just not worth it anymore, everyone's a know it all, or at least knows billy bob who gave them the real scoop on the kill. Bonecollector 777 congrats on your beautiful archery bull, we had that bull at less than 40 yards in the open several times on saturday morning of opening weekend screaming his head off, he sure looks good in person, and even better in your pics, great job!!!
