jgabler Report post Posted October 27, 2006 I didn't get drawn, but watched a guy shoot a little 60" 2 by 3 a week ago right on the reservation line with a res. permit. After that, an 80" 3 x 3 jumped up and one that was a lot bigger than him with a couple extra points. The guy couldn't believe it when he saw them, they were all bedded down and he was just meat hunting. Good fortune for you all though and good luck too. ultramag Report post Posted November 6, 2006 well we went out again this weekend we saw a total of 3 bucks small ones thats all the deer we saw pretty scarce out there. You guys seeing many deer? Norteno Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Good luck on your hunt. I have a Mule deer tag for that unit early November. Have been scouting quite a bit and only seen Mule deer. I guess I'm doing that part right. Was out there yesterday and it is still too dang hot for me in the day. Hope it cools down. If I see a coues shooter out there I'll let you know. I'm origanlly from Hayden but live in Apache Junction now, my Brother and Nephew drew tags in 24a Thanksgiving weekend I hope there is more activity then because i have 5 partners that just had the first hunt and none of them tagged out not because they were trophy hunting, only because they were not seeing any. Will be using horses to pack in so i probably won't be in anybody's way Found 2 really big bucks and several decent bucks while scouting, but definitely not impressed with overall deer numbers tho.
