roninflag Report post Posted September 25, 2013 that 150 ttsx load would work for me!!! not sure what rifle huntjunkie was shooting; i shot 180's out my 7 mags they shot good but kicked a lot ; one of them does not have a brake. the 168's shoot great. the 140 bergers a little more finicky. and the 140's bergers little light for elk. MRL1984 Report post Posted September 26, 2013 I doing my development with 4831sc pushing 168 Bergers. It has shown a strange pattern of grouping full grain (ie 60.0)and not so well with half grain (ie 60.5). I am doing my development inside so wind is a non-issue. I am thinking I will also try some Ramshot Magnum, to see what I can get.
rcdinaz Report post Posted September 26, 2013 H1000 and Berger 168's shoot great in my gun. I don't have the powder charge info handy until the end of the week. I think I posted this before so you might search past posts. Okay 69.5g with the 168's. One of the best shooting loads of all my rifles.

rcdinaz Report post Posted September 27, 2013 I may try that and see next summer. Same load I run the berger so it is just a change in bullets. DesertBull & iz, what primers are you guys using? I switched from fed to CCI in my magnums.

I switched from fed to CCI in my magnums. I use FED but I'm sure the CCI's are fine. I am going to step down from the 215M to the regular large rifle primers. I think the mag primers might be overkill with <70 grains of powder.

singleshot Report post Posted October 6, 2013 I full length re-size, shooting 154 grain Hornady SST's with 62 grains of Hodgdon Hybrid 100. Tried a lot of different combinations of bullets, powders but my #1 seems to like this combo the best.
