Is almost here! I'm chomping at the bit for the rifle season to open even though I can't hunt until December. Love checking the page throughout to see what's hit the dirt so far. I can't wait until that first post hits. Anyone else getting a little impatient just wishing time would hurry up? Haha

Yeah, I am feeling the same thing, HURRY IT UP ALREADY!! Ive been scouting and that somewhat cures the itch, but its not the same... glassing with a rifle handy and deadly intent is what we live for!

I'm going to scratch that itch in 3 weeks on a muley hunt up in Utah. Not coues, but will keep me tied over until I get down into the 36's with the kids in November. ;)

I'll be looking forward to some coues stories come late October!

I am going insane!! Cannot wait until the end of October to come! Gonna go bear hunting next week, then scouting for deer every weekend after that until the hunt. Hopefully, that will hold me over, haha.

That's the worse part... I glassed a good chocolate/cinnamon bear last weekend, but I can't go after him until next year! Scouting, shooting, and quail will have to suffice, 26 more days, 26 more days....

Yep, that's my first one too! It was a mad scramble to load my rifle, get my buddies vectored in on him, and down load the regs on my phone, only to find out he was untouchable. For now...

I know exactly what you mean Justin. I just went thru my packs and all my tri-pods today making sure everything is in order. I still, after all these years, haven't lost the excitement but have lost some of my ability to hike and hunt like I use to. Good luck on your hunts. :)

Gone through the chuckbox, gear box and pack multiple times. Made 32 checklists, slowly aquiring groceries and watching my wife laugh at me. My 88 year old Dad is even more excited and calls every day to see if there something else he can get. I cannot wait to spend some time with him and my brother. Just getting the time with them will make a successful hunt. Come on 11/01!!!!!!!!!!!
