MAVERICK Report post Posted September 23, 2013 Can someone please let me know if bow hunting is allowed in October or November? I've lived in Arizona for a few years and this is my first time to try bow hunting here. I'm confused about the season because on the AZGFD website it shows an X in October-January for archery deer, but I've been told by a friend that the second season is only December-January. GJMauro12 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 You could use your bow in October or November if you have a rifle tag/ muzzle loader tag. I am guessing you are asking about the over the counter tag tho and that is open for about 3 weeks in August/September for most units.
