kazpilot25 Report post Posted September 17, 2013 So I took the plunge into the spotting scope game and bought myself a Vortex Razor HD 65mm. I was considering a couple different models but figured in the end I would regret not buying the best first, and upgrade later. I've done that with binos and rifle scopes so I went right for the best this time. I just got it and I can't wait to test it out in the field. So far after looking through it in the front yard, it's AMAZING! It's actually much clearer and sharper than my Kaibabs. I'm happy with the purchase so far. Guest wdenike Report post Posted September 17, 2013 I will more than likely get an ear full from the other crowd. But I think you made a very wise decision, optically and dollar wise! I personally will have to look long and hard with my eyes to see the amount of difference optically vs. the dollar difference. And I will get ample time to do so as my Son Inlaw and Daughter both wield the green jewels. But side by side I will be surprised if we prove other wise. I don't expect to change the die hards on either side, but we will be honest with each other. Good luck with them, and I don't think you'll have to sit in the back of the bus!
