azcouesandelk Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Well I went over to a buddies house tonight and he gave me a good coues rack and a really nice shed. This is the rack he gave me. I gross scored it at 84 3/8 and it has a 16 5/8 spread. Here is the shed he gave me. I scored it at 50 2/8. It has 11 3/8 inches of mass with only 3 measurements. Here is the shed next to the rack. Both the rack and the shed were found close to each other. Looks like the same genetics to me.

desertsheep Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Nice shed, But why did you only give him 3 mass measurements.
TAM Report post Posted October 19, 2006 I was wondering the same thing? Even spikes get 4 mass measurements. I'd get the tape back on him so you can add to his score.
azcouesandelk Report post Posted October 19, 2006 I thought that you measure between the skull and the g1 inbetween the g1 and g2 then inbetween the g2 and g3 then you get the 4th mass measurement if you there is a g4. I will remeasure it and see what I get and all my other sheds also.
desertsheep Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Your 4th measurement will be half way between the G3 and the end of the main beam.
Houston Hinton Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Those two look like they have the same genes or something. Good finds though!!!
