ctafoya Report post Posted September 11, 2013 My wife and I had a 24a late oct hunt last year, and drew the same tag this year. Last year we were hunting between the pinals and dripping springs rd. We both tagged out and saw a few other bucks we missed. Also saw a nice buck scouting the week before. This year I am thinking about going north between highway 60 and the rez. My question is if there is any kind of markings identifying the rez boundary or do I need to make sure i have a good map and know exactly where I am at? muledeerarea33? Report post Posted September 11, 2013 Maps, GPS, whatever works for you, the boundary is marked in someplaces with a fence and other places the fences have fallen or the strands are different. No real good boundary last time I was there
CouesPursuit Report post Posted September 11, 2013 I have 24A KMZ that the site will not let me upload. If you want to pm an email address I'll send it over. Lay it in google earth and you should have it figured out. I wouldn't count on any markings. The KMZ can be added to a GPS unit or you could at least get a good look where you plan to be. Good luck. ctafoya Report post Posted September 11, 2013 I have found the boundary on the map tool or whatever from AZGF. I guess I'll just buy a map and draw the boundary that way.
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted September 11, 2013 The boundary isn't always well marked, so I would use a GPS with unit boundaries and topo maps on it. Hunting GPS maps website is a good product for that. For what it's worth, the boundary fence is often a five strand barbed wire fence (more strands than a regular fence).
