Guest oneshot Report post Posted September 10, 2013 There are groups in NY/north-east that will help you track game with their dogs trained to follow a blood trail (I don't recall the breed of dog, but they are small guys and the method comes from germany I believe) They can follow even if the blood stops and if the wounded game gets in with other critters, very impressive recoverys on a few friends Deer over the years.... Are there simular groups/individuals here in AZ??? Seems like a good idea for some dog trainer...
Elkaddict Report post Posted September 11, 2013 I always thought this would be a good idea, sure could have used a tracking dog in our camp on more than one occasion! I think it's illegal, hopefully someone that knows the law will chime in.
Guest oneshot Report post Posted September 11, 2013 The ones in NY are required to notify DEC and local LEO's...(Deer Search is the name of the group)... Those little dogs are awesome, and the guys that run the dogs do it at no charge (they do except donations though)... It would be a great idea for Az... Not only for the hunters and the game, but for dog-men also..
