azsugarbear Report post Posted October 17, 2013 I'm late to the party, but I think you need to strongly consider a graduated reticle. If you go with Mrads on the turrets then you want a MRads (mildot) on the reticle. Likewise, use a MOA reticle with MOA turrets. Gravity is a constant. Given a specific elevation (barometric pressure), your dial up is a constant. Once you have your drop table confirmed,i t will not change (unless pressure changes). The real boogeyman for most long distance shooting is wind. It is rarely constant and we are always trying to read and compensate for it. Most long range shooters will dial in the elevation, but use a hold off for the wind. You need a MOA or mildot scope for this. A simple crosshair will not get it done. Just my two cents.
