GotBowAz Report post Posted September 11, 2013 If you don't have any tensioners then use heavy bungee cords. Instead of hooking them on with hooks just run them around the chain between them and the tire in equal places and in at least 5 places. I have done this many times before I got my new chains I ordered. Also, tie the little left over chain back with a cord, otherwise the extra chain will whack your fender wells. Don’t run over 15 to 20 miles an hour if you can help it and you should be just fine. Bungee cords are cheap. I throw them out after each use. GBA
