Decided to Hunt the Velvet Season

After hunting unit 23 the last week in August and not having much luck, I decided to head up north to unit 27. I was excited to get up there last weekend as my cousin had seen about 12 bucks over labor day weekend. I got up to our cabin at 330 friday afternoon. My cousin and I left the cabin at 4 and this deer was down by 430.(stars aligned)I shot him at 53 yards. After the shot the deer went about 30 yards and that was it.
