dave Report post Posted December 1, 2006 Congrats BowNut, sure is purdy. It should get quite a lot of looks from the ladies Just found out today, 31 days after mine was ordered that the build date is going to be 12/7, 38 days after it was ordered. Maybe I should have ordered a blue one
BowNut Report post Posted December 1, 2006 I ordered mine on Oct 20th that was quick. I didn't think it would be here until Christmas. Last year my Trykon came 2 days before archery pig season. I had to barrow a bow to hunt with! And that was camo! The target colors did not start showing up until Feb. if I remember correctly.
bobbyo Report post Posted December 1, 2006 Why do you guys keep wasting valuable space talking about Hoyts. Isn't there an inferior bow chat line somewhere, so you can continue this conversation on how Hoyt ripped you off. Isn't Hoyt made in Indonesia now?Is that why it takes two months. dave Report post Posted December 1, 2006 BowNut, If you can get hooked up with the superior Bobbyo for a shoot, could I caddy for you? I need a good "got to see this in person" laugh. Don't worry Bobbyo, BowNut can't hit the side of an acorn.
bobbyo Report post Posted December 1, 2006 BowNut, If you can get hooked up with the superior Bobbyo for a shoot, could I caddy for you? I need a good "got to see this in person" laugh. Don't worry Bobbyo, BowNut can't hit the side of an acorn. Because of a good upbringing and many life lessons I have developed four rules that help me get through life successfully. 1 Don't cheat the Government. (pay your taxes). 2. Don't cheat the lord.(Follow the commandments) 3.Stick with beer only. (No Jose or Jack) 4. Don't get in Archery competitions with guys named BOWNUT, who have caddys, even if they shoot bows that are made in Malaysia. So as you can see I will have to respectfully decline your offer. I would like to suggest that we do have a friendly hunting contest this January as long as you Hoyt guys don't use chute planes or employ 50 guides like those famous hunters who endorse Hoyt. We might have some fun. One request though, Dave can't be the official measurer since he still insists his 29" draw length is 32" Bob
mattys281 Report post Posted December 1, 2006 That Vectrix nearly got me to switch from PSE, until I picked it up.... What a tank! I'll go ahead & order my Diablo. Might not be as quite w/out all the dampeners, but it'll feel a lot better on my back pack.
azhuntnut Report post Posted December 1, 2006 It doesn't matter what type of bow you shoot. I just matters if you know how to shoot it. I think my current bow is 38in axle to axle, and only shoots 254 fps. But I have managed to shoot several animals with it and a pope and young bull. I think these new bows look pretty cool, and I am sure they shoot great, but I can't see how they can charge so much for them. David

dave Report post Posted December 2, 2006 2003-2006 FIRST PLACE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: HOYT 67 MATTHEWS 35 PSE 6 Yep, I guess someone must rule.
azhuntnut Report post Posted December 2, 2006 2003-2006 FIRST PLACE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: HOYT 67 MATTHEWS 35 PSE 6 Yep, I guess someone must rule. All that means is Hoyt and Matthews gives away more of there bows than the other companys. I have had five PSE's and one old Bear. Combined I have killed 10 animals with one shot each. I would love to try shooting some of the others, but I won't fix it if it isn't broken. David
elmergoo Report post Posted December 3, 2006 2003-2006 FIRST PLACE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: HOYT 67 MATTHEWS 35 PSE 6 Yep, I guess someone must rule. Yea according to ArcheryTalk.com where Bow Nut gets all of his information they did a shoot-out for 2006 and BowTech rules.
dave Report post Posted December 3, 2006 A good shooter can shoot any bow and win. I remember many years when no one could touch PSE because of who they had shooting. They all do the same thing. The shooter is the one that rules but it is fun jerking chains huh? Competition makes everyone better.
BowNut Report post Posted December 3, 2006 Yea according to ArcheryTalk.com where Bow Nut gets all of his information they did a shoot-out for 2006 and BowTech rules. Ya, But how many sets of limbs did it take to finish the test!!! LOL. And now they got holes drilled in both ends of the limbs. Lets see they split with one hole lets drill another hole on the other end and put another arm in the middle of the limb and bend it over that. That will keep them from splitting. Sure hope you guy know I am joking! Don't take any of this to heart. I have lots of friends that shoot other bows and I try to get them to see the light to! I believe every bow company out there makes great bows! Its what feels good and shoots good for you is all that matters. elmergoo, I don't get all my information from ArcheryTalk.com I make some of it up myself.LOL!
